The accident changed everything. They told me when I came out of shock that I kept asking if you were okay. That’s why I can’t wait anymore. Because I have to live. To live! I love you. I don’t care if you don’t love me. I don’t care if you really gave Dan a handjob.
I planned to go to bed half an hour ago, but stupidly played an episode of the latest Radiotopia show – Mortified. Now I’m wide awake because of laughing and my cheeks hurt from grinning.
It’s a podcast where peeps read out embarrassing love letters they wrote as teenagers (and diaries and song lyrics and whatnot). I really liked the concept and was not disappointed.
Episode 1 features Tom, who reads, out loud and in a public place, a ‘painfully earnest’ letter he wrote in 1994. His delivery is great fun – this is one of the few guys I’ve heard on podcasts that I hundred percent know I’d be total best friends with.
I’ve just downloaded the rest of the episodes and I can’t wait till tomorrow so I can listen. Check it out and let me know what you think! Also, feel free to publish some stuff you wrote as a teenager! I’m sure we’d all love to read it…
